  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Remove chicken thighs from packaging and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  3. Add chicken thighs to the bowl and toss until well coated. Marinate for 10–15 minutes if time allows.
  4. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes until hot.
  5. Lay chicken thighs flat in the pan, smooth side down. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if needed. Sear without moving for 4–5 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Flip and cook another 4–5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Cover with a lid for the last couple of minutes if thighs are thick.
  7. Squeeze lemon juice over the chicken right before removing from heat.
  8. Let the chicken rest for 3–5 minutes before slicing. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve.
