A quick and easy snack featuring thinly sliced apples layered with caramel sauce, peanut butter drizzle, and chocolate, perfect for any occasion and crowd-pleasing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium apples (mix of Granny Smith, Fuji or Gala), thinly sliced
  • ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • ¼ cup peanut butter (creamy or natural, warmed slightly)
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (semi-sweet or dark)
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts (optional; peanuts, pecans, or walnuts)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the apples into thin, even wedges about ¼ inch thick.
  2. Warm the peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl for 20-30 seconds until slightly runny and stir smooth.
  3. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts until smooth, or use chocolate chips directly.
  4. Arrange the apple slices flat on a serving dish, slightly overlapping like nachos.
  5. Warm the caramel sauce slightly if thick, then drizzle evenly over the apples.
  6. Drizzle the warmed peanut butter over the caramel layer using a spoon or small whisk.
  7. Drizzle or sprinkle the melted chocolate or chocolate chips over the stack.
  8. Optionally, scatter chopped nuts and sprinkle a pinch of sea salt or cinnamon on top.
  9. Serve immediately for best crispness and flavor.

Notes

Warm sauces just enough to be pourable but not hot to avoid run-off. Use a mix of tart and sweet apples for balanced flavor. Toss apple slices in lemon juice if prepping ahead to prevent browning. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Avoid freezing fully assembled nachos.
