A quick and easy creamy chicken dip with ranch seasoning and crispy bacon, perfect for snacks, game day, or potlucks. Rich, savory, and crowd-pleasing with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken (about 450 grams or 1 lb)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 oz or 28 grams)
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked crisp and chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (about 100 grams)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (120 ml)
  • 2 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook and crisp the bacon if not already done. Chop into small pieces and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, soften the cream cheese using a hand mixer or sturdy spoon until smooth and creamy (3-4 minutes).
  4. Add ranch seasoning mix, sour cream, garlic powder, and black pepper to the cream cheese. Mix until fully combined and creamy.
  5. Fold in shredded chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped bacon. Stir gently but thoroughly.
  6. Transfer the mixture to an 8×8 inch baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  8. Remove from oven and sprinkle sliced green onions on top.
  9. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened before mixing to avoid lumps. Crisp bacon thoroughly for best texture. Do not overbake to keep dip gooey. Leftovers keep well refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheat gently. For extra gooeyness, add mozzarella cheese on top before baking. Microwave option available for faster cooking.
