Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened (full-fat preferred)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) sour cream
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp dried dill weed
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked crisp and chopped
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Drain on paper towels and chop into small pieces. Save a little bacon fat if using green onions.
  2. In a small bowl, combine dried dill weed, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley flakes, black pepper, salt, and smoked paprika. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, add softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix into the creamy base. Beat again on low speed until fully incorporated, scraping down the sides as needed.
  5. Gently fold in the chopped bacon, green onions (if using), and shredded cheddar cheese (optional) with a spatula.
  6. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let flavors meld. For best results, chill overnight.
  7. Before serving, stir the dip and scoop into a serving bowl. Serve with veggies, chips, or toasted bread.

Notes

Let cream cheese soften at room temperature for 30 minutes for smooth texture. Chilling the dip for at least 1 hour (or overnight) improves flavor and texture. If dip is too thick after chilling, stir in a teaspoon of milk or buttermilk. Cook bacon slowly on medium heat for best crispiness. Fold in bacon and optional ingredients gently to keep dip airy.
