creamy espresso martini recipe - featured image

A smooth and indulgent cocktail combining bold espresso, silky cream, and vodka, perfect for a quick and elegant pick-me-up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces (60 ml) freshly brewed espresso
  • 2 ounces (60 ml) vodka
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) Kahlúa or coffee liqueur
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) heavy cream
  • 0.5 ounce (15 ml) simple syrup (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Cocoa powder or coffee beans for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew 2 ounces (60 ml) of fresh espresso using a dark roast. Let it cool slightly but keep it warm.
  2. Chill your martini glass in the freezer.
  3. Add vodka, coffee liqueur, fresh espresso, heavy cream, and simple syrup (if using) into a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice cubes.
  4. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the mixture is frothy and well chilled.
  5. Strain the cocktail into the chilled martini glass, leaving the ice behind.
  6. Garnish with a light dusting of cocoa powder or a few coffee beans and serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh espresso for best flavor; shaking vigorously creates the frothy texture. Chill the glass beforehand to keep the cocktail cold longer. For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream. Adjust sweetness with simple syrup to taste.
