A warm, gooey, cheesy dip with savory goodness that’s perfect for parties and gatherings. This crowd-pleasing appetizer is simple to make and endlessly adaptable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage (spicy or mild)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dry ranch seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Green onions or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your baking dish lightly with cooking spray.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the sausage, breaking it into crumbles. Cook until browned and fully cooked (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream. Whisk or stir until smooth and creamy.
  4. Stir in shredded cheddar, shredded pepper jack, dry ranch seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  5. Fold in the cooked sausage, making sure it’s evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  6. Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is bubbly and golden. If you like a crispy top, broil for 1-2 minutes at the end.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped green onions or parsley for a pop of color, then serve warm with chips, crackers, or sliced veggies.
