These creamy mint Oreo truffles are a quick and easy no-bake treat combining crushed mint Oreos and cream cheese, dipped in semi-sweet chocolate for a rich, minty dessert perfect for any occasion.

  • 8 ounces (225 grams) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 12 ounces (340 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • A few drops green food coloring (optional)
  • Crushed mint Oreos for garnish

Instructions

  1. Crush the 36 mint Oreos in a food processor until fine crumbs with a texture like coarse sand, about 2 minutes. Alternatively, crush in a sealed plastic bag with a rolling pin.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs with 8 ounces of softened cream cheese. Mix until fully combined and smooth, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Scoop out small portions (about 1 tablespoon or 15 grams each) and roll into balls. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Melt 12 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth. Stir in green food coloring if desired.
  5. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork, letting excess drip off. Place back on parchment paper and sprinkle with crushed mint Oreo pieces. Chill for 15-20 minutes until chocolate hardens.

Notes

Use room temperature cream cheese for smooth mixing. Do not pulverize Oreos into powder; keep some texture. Melt chocolate gently and stir frequently to avoid burning. Chill truffles before dipping for best coating results. Reheat chocolate gently if it hardens during dipping.
