These crispy air fryer salmon bites are quick, easy, and perfect for snacks or appetizers, featuring a sweet chili glaze that balances spicy and sweet flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound skinless salmon fillet, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar or lime juice
  • Optional garnishes: chopped green onions, toasted sesame seeds, fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Rinse and pat dry the salmon fillet. Cut into roughly 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss salmon pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F and warm for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Place salmon pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and crisp outside but tender inside.
  5. While salmon cooks, combine sweet chili sauce, honey or maple syrup, and rice vinegar or lime juice in a small saucepan. Warm gently over low heat for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Transfer cooked salmon bites to a bowl, pour the warm glaze over them, and toss gently to coat evenly.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions, toasted sesame seeds, or fresh cilantro if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Pat salmon dry thoroughly to ensure crispiness. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if needed. Warm the glaze to help it cling better. Adjust sweetness and heat of glaze to taste. Check salmon a minute or two before cooking time ends to avoid drying out. Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes to maintain crispness.
