Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into flats and drumettes
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Toss the wings in a large bowl with baking powder, salt, pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. While the wings bake, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until fragrant. Stir in the lemon juice (if using) and set aside.
  5. Once the wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the garlic butter sauce over the wings and toss until well coated.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped parsley for garnish and serve immediately.

Notes

[‘Dry the wings thoroughly to achieve crispy skin.’, ‘Use baking powder to enhance crunchiness.’, ‘Don’t overcrowd the pan to ensure even cooking.’, ‘Cook garlic gently to avoid bitterness.’, ‘Serve immediately for the best texture.’]
