These crispy pizza crescent roll-ups are a quick and easy snack that tastes like your favorite pizza in convenient, flaky pockets. Perfect for busy weeknights, parties, or casual get-togethers, served warm with marinara dip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8-ounce) tube crescent roll dough (226 g)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 4 ounces / 115 g)
  • About 20 pepperoni slices (regular or turkey)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (240 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (28 g)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • A few leaves fresh basil or oregano (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking and help with even baking.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Set aside for brushing later.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough onto a clean surface. Press the perforations together to seal so the dough becomes one sheet.
  4. Cut the dough into 12 equal triangles, just like the original crescent roll shape.
  5. On the wider end of each triangle, place about a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella and 2 slices of pepperoni.
  6. Roll each triangle up tightly from the wide end to the point, pinching the edges to seal as best you can.
  7. Place the roll-ups on the prepared baking sheet, point side down. Brush each roll-up with the garlic butter mixture.
  8. Optionally, sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan cheese over the tops.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are puffed and golden brown.
  10. While baking, warm the marinara sauce in a small saucepan or microwave until hot and ready for dipping.
  11. Remove the roll-ups from the oven and let them cool for 2-3 minutes before serving.
  12. Serve the crispy pizza crescent roll-ups warm with the marinara dip on the side.

Notes

Press the dough seams firmly and pinch edges tightly to prevent cheese leaks. Use room temperature mozzarella for better melting. Brushing with garlic butter adds flavor and crispness. Avoid overfilling to prevent bursting. Check oven around 12 minutes to avoid burning. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness. Can freeze unbaked roll-ups for up to 2 months.
