A creamy, cheesy chicken tortellini recipe made effortlessly in the CrockPot. Perfect for busy days and cozy weekends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 16 ounces cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened and cubed
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups fresh spinach (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. In your CrockPot, add the chicken, chicken broth, heavy cream, cream cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  4. Stir in the cheese tortellini and fresh spinach (if using). Cook on low for an additional 30 minutes, until the tortellini is tender.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese just before serving to thicken the sauce and add cheesy flavor.

Notes

[‘Check the tortellini after 20 minutes to prevent overcooking.’, ‘Use softened cream cheese to ensure it melts smoothly into the sauce.’, ‘Add spinach during the last 30 minutes to retain its vibrant color and texture.’, ‘Taste the sauce before serving and adjust salt and pepper as needed.’, ‘Double the recipe for leftovers—it reheats beautifully.’]
