A quick, easy, and healthy Greek yogurt bowl dessert featuring fresh berries, honey, and toasted almonds, perfect for Valentine’s Day or any special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (480 ml) full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) mascarpone cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup (75 g) fresh raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons (30 g) dark chocolate chips or shavings (70% cacao or higher)
  • 1/4 cup (30 g) toasted almonds, sliced or slivered
  • Fresh mint leaves (a few sprigs, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Toast the almonds in a dry skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently until golden brown and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt and mascarpone cheese (if using). Add honey, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Gently fold with a spatula until smooth and creamy.
  3. Rinse fresh strawberries and raspberries under cold water. Slice strawberries thinly; raspberries can remain whole. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  4. Spoon the creamy yogurt mixture evenly into serving bowls. Arrange sliced strawberries and whole raspberries on top.
  5. Sprinkle toasted almonds and dark chocolate chips or shavings over the fruit.
  6. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and serve immediately.

Notes

Use full-fat Greek yogurt for best creaminess. Toast almonds carefully to avoid burning. Slice berries just before serving to keep fresh. Yogurt base can be prepared up to 24 hours ahead and stored refrigerated. For vegan version, substitute Greek yogurt with plant-based yogurt and honey with maple syrup or agave.
