A quick and easy sheet pan dinner featuring crispy chicken thighs glazed with a sticky honey garlic sauce, perfect for weeknight meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 to 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 2 pounds / 900g)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 to 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Optional garnish: chopped fresh parsley or green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and minced garlic. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
  3. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  4. Lightly oil the baking sheet with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  5. Season both sides of the chicken thighs with salt and black pepper. Place them skin-side up on the baking sheet, leaving space between pieces.
  6. Drizzle 1 tablespoon olive oil over the chicken.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes undisturbed to start crisping the skin.
  8. Remove from oven and brush the honey garlic sauce generously on the skin side and underside of each piece.
  9. Return to oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, watching closely to allow the sauce to caramelize and thicken.
  10. Check for doneness; internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C) and skin should be crispy and sticky.
  11. Optional: garnish with chopped parsley or green onions before serving.

Notes

Pat chicken dry thoroughly for crispy skin. Brush honey garlic sauce halfway through baking to prevent burning. Use tongs gently when flipping to avoid tearing skin. Avoid overcrowding pan for best crispiness. If sauce starts to burn, tent chicken loosely with foil for last 5 minutes.
