A vibrant and refreshing fruit salad featuring a bold combination of Tajin chili-lime seasoning and tangy chamoy drizzle, perfect for a quick snack or side dish that excites your taste buds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ripe but firm mango, peeled and diced
  • 2 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned in juice, drained)
  • 1 cup jicama, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 orange, segmented and pith removed
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, hulled and halved (optional)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Tajin chili-lime seasoning
  • 1/4 cup chamoy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice mango into roughly 1-inch pieces. Cube watermelon and pineapple similarly. Thinly slice jicama into matchsticks or small cubes. Segment oranges, removing as much pith as possible to avoid bitterness. If using strawberries, hull and halve them.
  2. Place all the prepared fruit in a large mixing bowl. Gently toss to combine evenly without bruising the softer fruits.
  3. In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup chamoy sauce with 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice and 1 teaspoon honey or agave syrup. Whisk until smooth and slightly runny. Taste and adjust sweetness or tang as desired.
  4. Drizzle half of the chamoy mixture over the fruit and toss lightly to coat. Reserve the rest for drizzling on top when serving.
  5. Sprinkle about 1 1/2 teaspoons of Tajin seasoning over the salad. Add a pinch of sea salt and toss gently again to distribute flavors.
  6. Transfer the fruit salad to a serving bowl or individual cups. Drizzle remaining chamoy sauce on top for a tangy finish. Optionally, garnish with a lime wedge or fresh mint leaves.
  7. Serve immediately to enjoy the freshest flavors. Refrigerate for no more than 1 hour if needed before serving.

Notes

Add Tajin seasoning just before serving to keep its flavor vibrant. Adjust chamoy drizzle consistency with lime juice or water if too thick. Use ripe but firm fruits to avoid mushiness. Serve chilled but not icy cold. Variations include adding cayenne pepper for extra heat or roasted pepitas for crunch.
