A quick, easy, and healthier way to enjoy crispy apple fritters with juicy apple chunks and warm cinnamon flavor, perfect for cozy mornings or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting or glazing (optional)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice 2 medium apples into small chunks. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon of baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk 1/3 cup of milk, 1 large egg, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir until well blended.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the diced apples gently with a spatula.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes. Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  6. Scoop spoonfuls of batter into the air fryer basket, leaving space between each fritter. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Let the fritters cool on a rack for 2-3 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze before serving.

Notes

Preheat the air fryer for consistent results. Adjust batter consistency by adding flour or milk as needed. Use firm apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith for the best texture.
