Warm, gooey brownies with bits of tender apples and a hint of cinnamon spice—it’s the ultimate fall treat perfect for cozy desserts or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (120g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly with butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and melted butter until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until fully incorporated.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula. Be careful not to overmix.
  4. Prepare the apples by peeling, coring, and dicing them into small chunks. Toss the diced apples with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  5. Gently fold the apple chunks into the brownie batter, ensuring they’re evenly distributed. If you’re adding mix-ins like walnuts, fold them in now.
  6. Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula. If desired, drizzle caramel sauce over the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
  8. Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack. Slice into squares once completely cool. Enjoy!

Notes
