Cowboy sliders are the ultimate crowd-pleaser, combining smoky beef, melty cheddar, crispy onions, and tangy BBQ sauce for game day or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 12 slices cheddar cheese
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 12 strips bacon
  • 1 cup fried onions
  • 1/4 cup pickles (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon strips in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8 minutes. Place on paper towels to drain excess grease.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 12 equal portions (about 2 ounces each). Shape into small patties slightly larger than the slider buns. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Remove from heat and let rest.
  4. Slice the slider buns in half and place cut-side down on the skillet. Toast for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  5. On the bottom half of each bun, layer BBQ sauce, a beef patty, cheddar cheese, a strip of bacon, fried onions, and optional toppings like pickles and jalapeños.
  6. Place the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and warm in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
  7. Cap each slider with the top bun and serve warm.

Notes

Toast the buns for added crunch, and let the cheese melt for the perfect bite. Customize with jalapeños or spicy BBQ sauce for extra heat.
