These bite-sized snacks combine everything we love about the classic jalapeño popper but in a portable, party-friendly form. Packed with creamy cheese, crispy bacon, and just the right amount of heat, they’re the ultimate crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

  • Fresh jalapeños
  • Full-fat cream cheese
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Crispy bacon crumbles
  • Garlic powder
  • Finely chopped green onions
  • Panko breadcrumbs
  • Eggs
  • All-purpose flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds and membranes using a small spoon. Set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, green onions, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined and creamy.
  4. Using a small spoon, fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, pressing down gently to ensure it’s evenly packed.
  5. Set up your breading station: In one bowl, add the flour. In a second bowl, whisk the eggs. In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Dip each stuffed jalapeño into the flour, then the egg mixture, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs. Make sure the coating is even.
  7. Place the coated jalapeño bites on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  8. Let the bites cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

[‘Wear gloves when handling fresh jalapeños to avoid burning your hands.’, “Don’t overfill the jalapeños to prevent spilling during baking.”, ‘Mix grated Parmesan into the breadcrumbs for extra flavor.’, ‘Reheat leftovers in the oven to restore crunch.’]
