  • 1 ½ cups (360ml) milk or dairy-free milk (almond or oat milk recommended)
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • ¼ cup fresh blueberries
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt or plant-based yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons nut butter (almond or peanut butter, smooth or crunchy)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, or almonds)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon dark chocolate shavings or cacao nibs (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup (90g) rolled oats with 1 ½ cups (360ml) of your chosen milk. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 8-10 minutes until the oats are creamy and tender.
  2. Stir in ½ teaspoon vanilla extract and ½ teaspoon cinnamon into the cooked oats.
  3. While the oats cook, slice ½ cup fresh strawberries and gather ¼ cup fresh blueberries. Chop 2 tablespoons of your favorite nuts and measure out 1 tablespoon of chia or hemp seeds.
  4. Spoon the creamy oats into a serving bowl, spreading them out evenly. Dollop ¼ cup Greek or plant-based yogurt on one side.
  5. Arrange the sliced strawberries, blueberries, chopped nuts, and seeds around the bowl. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of nut butter in small dollops or thin ribbons across the top.
  6. Drizzle 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup over the top.
  7. Optionally, sprinkle 1 teaspoon of dark chocolate shavings or cacao nibs for extra indulgence.
  8. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

If oats thicken too much, add a splash of milk to loosen. Toast nuts lightly for extra flavor. Use gluten-free oats for gluten-free diet. Swap nut butter for sunflower seed butter for nut allergies. Fresh fruit is best added just before serving or after reheating leftovers.
