A creamy, spicy appetizer featuring cream cheese, jalapeños, and garlic, perfect for game days or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 34 fresh jalapeños, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: Green onions or cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by softening the cream cheese to room temperature. Dice the jalapeños finely, removing seeds if you prefer a milder dip.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Use a hand mixer or whisk to blend until smooth.
  3. Stir in the diced jalapeños and shredded cheese. Mix until evenly distributed.
  4. If serving warm, spread the mixture into a baking dish. Top with extra shredded cheese if desired.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden. Skip this step if serving cold.
  6. Sprinkle chopped green onions or cilantro on top for a fresh finish.
  7. Pair with tortilla chips, crackers, or veggie sticks and serve.

Notes

Let cream cheese soften for easier mixing. Adjust spice level by removing jalapeño seeds or adding more peppers. Garnish with green onions or cilantro for added freshness.
