  • 1215 mini peanut butter cups, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup milk
  • 23 tablespoons creamy peanut butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease your baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. Scatter the chopped peanut butter cups evenly across the bottom of the dish.
  3. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the peanut butter cups.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the cake mix with the milk until just moistened. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the prepared cake mix over the peanut butter cups and chocolate chips, spreading it gently to cover the entire surface.
  6. Melt the butter and drizzle it evenly over the cake mix, covering as much as possible for an even crust.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
  8. Let the cake cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence. Customize sweetness by using dark chocolate chips or milk chocolate.
