A visually striking and easy-to-assemble patriotic charcuterie board featuring fresh strawberries, blueberries, creamy cheeses, and cured meats arranged in a festive star shape. Perfect for summer celebrations and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Star-shaped wooden or acrylic charcuterie board (about 16 inches across)
  • Star-shaped crackers or pita chips
  • Fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Red grapes, halved
  • Thin slices of cured meats like spicy soppressata or pepperoni
  • Brie cheese, sliced into small wedges
  • Goat cheese logs, sliced
  • Star-shaped white cheddar cheese slices (optional)
  • Fresh blueberries
  • Blue corn tortilla chips or blue cheese crumbles
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs
  • Honey or fig jam

Instructions

  1. Rinse the strawberries and blueberries under cold water and pat dry. Hull and halve the strawberries. Slice the grapes in half. Cut the Brie and goat cheese into thin, bite-sized wedges. Slice the cured meats into small strips or fold them into loose ribbons for texture.
  2. Lay out your star-shaped charcuterie board flat on your prep surface. If using star-shaped crackers, start by placing them along one point of the star to create a white base. Arrange crackers in a neat line or cluster, depending on your board size.
  3. On one or two star points adjacent to the crackers, place the halved strawberries and red grapes. Then add the folded cured meats in between or nearby, creating a layered effect.
  4. On the central star section or the points opposite the reds, arrange the Brie and goat cheese wedges. Tuck in the star-shaped white cheddar slices among the cheeses or crackers for visual interest. Leave small gaps for the blue elements to pop.
  5. Scatter the blueberries generously on one or two star points, filling spaces between the white cheeses. Add blue corn tortilla chips or sprinkle blue cheese crumbles in small clusters for texture contrast. Tuck in fresh rosemary sprigs around the edges or between sections. Drizzle honey or place a small ramekin of fig jam on the side.

Notes

Keep cheeses chilled until just before serving to prevent softening. Let cheeses sit out 15-20 minutes before serving to soften. Assemble board close to serving time to keep crackers crisp and fruit fresh. If no star-shaped board is available, use a round or rectangular board and arrange items in a star pattern with a stencil. For gluten-free, use gluten-free crackers or blue corn tortilla chips. For dairy-free, substitute cheeses with plant-based alternatives.
