Pull Apart Pigs in a Blanket Recipe Easy Party Favorite

pull apart pigs in a blanket - featured image

A fun and easy-to-make appetizer featuring buttery crescent rolls and savory mini sausages, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Mini sausages (cocktail weenies or lil’ smokies)
  • Refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Butter, melted
  • Garlic powder
  • Parsley, finely chopped
  • Everything bagel seasoning (optional)
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line your baking sheet or round pan with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface and separate it into triangles. Cut each triangle into smaller strips to wrap around each mini sausage.
  3. Take a mini sausage and wrap it snugly with one dough strip, pinching the edges to seal. Repeat until all sausages are wrapped.
  4. Place the wrapped sausages in a circular pattern on your prepared pan, leaving a small gap between each one.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder and parsley. Add everything bagel seasoning if desired.
  6. Generously brush the butter mixture over the wrapped sausages. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese between the layers and finish with extra seasoning.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Let the pull-apart ring cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

[‘Pat the mini sausages dry with paper towels before wrapping them in the dough to prevent sogginess.’, ‘Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.’, ‘Brush crescent rolls with a beaten egg instead of butter for a shiny, golden finish.’]
