Refreshing Classic Aperol Spritz Recipe - featured image

A simple and elegant 3-ingredient summer cocktail combining Aperol, prosecco, and sparkling water for a refreshing, bittersweet, bubbly drink perfect for warm afternoons and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 oz (90 ml) Aperol
  • 3 oz (90 ml) prosecco (dry or extra dry)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) chilled sparkling water
  • Orange slice (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Fill your glass with about 1 cup (240 ml) of ice cubes.
  2. Pour 3 oz (90 ml) of Aperol gently over the ice.
  3. Slowly add 3 oz (90 ml) of prosecco over the Aperol to preserve bubbles.
  4. Top with 1 oz (30 ml) of chilled sparkling water.
  5. Gently stir once or twice to combine without losing fizz.
  6. Garnish with a fresh orange slice on the rim or in the drink.

Notes

Chill the glass, prosecco, and sparkling water beforehand to keep the drink fizzy and cold. Use large ice cubes to slow melting and avoid dilution. Pour prosecco slowly over Aperol to preserve bubbles. Do not over-stir to maintain fizz. Adjust proportions to taste. Garnish with fresh orange slice for aroma and presentation. For a low-alcohol version, substitute prosecco with sparkling white grape juice or non-alcoholic sparkling wine.
