These spooky Halloween breadstick bones are the ultimate party snack—easy to make, irresistibly tasty, and perfectly paired with a tangy marinara dip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough or crescent roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.
  2. Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough onto a clean surface. Cut the dough into strips about 6 inches long and 1 inch wide.
  3. To shape the bones, take each strip and tie a small knot at both ends. Use your fingers to adjust and pinch the middle section so it resembles a bone.
  4. Place the shaped dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between each piece.
  5. Brush the dough with olive oil using a pastry brush. Sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese (if using) evenly over the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the breadsticks are golden brown and slightly puffed.
  7. While the breadsticks bake, prepare the marinara dip. In a small saucepan, combine marinara sauce, minced garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Heat over medium heat until warmed through, stirring occasionally.
  8. Once the breadsticks are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a minute or two. Serve warm with the marinara dip on the side.

Notes

Cold dough is easier to shape, and brushing the breadsticks with olive oil ensures a golden color and crispy texture. Serve immediately for best results.
